All our robots come with a battery installed. After some time the battery can be empty, causing malfunctions and issues. It then needs to be replaced, and here is how.
Depending on the robot that you are using, this procedure can vary. Please refer to the section related to your hardware.
Case 1 - New robots hardware
After removing these screws, you can take off the top aluminum plate, allowing access to the inner components of the robot. The battery can be found on the motherboard, next to the power supply:
Detach the adhesive securing the battery to the metal component by using a thin tool:
Remove the battery by gently pulling on the red and black cable. Then, insert the new battery into the same location:
You can stick it at the same spot where the previous battery was sticked.
Secure the top aluminum plate back in place by screwing in the 2 screws to close the robot.
Once you have successfully replaced the battery, it is important to update the BIOS before using your robot again. This ensures that it will continue to function properly. Here is a guide on how to update the BIOS for your robot.
Case 2 - Old robots hardware
After removing these screws, you can slide the top aluminum plate towards the back of the robot to reveal the internal components. You can find the battery in the lower left corner of the motherboard:
Detach the adhesive securing the battery to the component by using a thin tool:

You can stick it at the same spot where the previous battery was sticked.
If you encounter any difficulties removing the old battery or installing the new one, you can access the battery more easily by unscrewing the four screws located at each corner of the motherboard to remove it from the robot:
After removing the screws, you can lift the motherboard without disconnecting any components to easily access the battery:
Make sure to reattach these screws before putting the robot back together.
Finally, secure the top aluminum plate back in place by screwing in the 2 screws to close the robot.
Once you have successfully replaced the battery, it is important to update the BIOS before using your robot again. This ensures that it will continue to function properly. Here is a guide on how to update the BIOS for your robot.
