π― Overview
-
When a kapptivate alert is triggered (threshold exceeded, repeated failures, abnormal latency, etc.), an incident is automatically generated.
The Incidents section allows you to:
- view ongoing and resolved incidents
- analyze the alerts that triggered the incident
- check the incident duration
- filter and search within the history
- manually close an incident if necessary
Incidents are directly linked to the alert rules configured on your tests.
π Accessing the Incidents Dashboard
-
From the kapptivate platform, open the Incidents section.
You will see a dashboard displaying:
- the number of ongoing incidents
- the number of resolved incidents
- the detailed list of triggered incidents
For each incident, you can review:
- the related alert type
- the incident duration
- its current status
π Filtering and Searching Incidents
-
Use the filters to refine your analysis:
- Date range: adjust the time period being analyzed
-
Status:
- Ongoing
- Resolved
- Canceled
These filters help you quickly isolate:
- an incident that is still active
- a series of incidents over a specific time period
- a one-time abnormal behavior
β Closing an Incident
-
To manually close an incident:
- click the ββ¦β menu on the relevant row
- select Close incident
β οΈ Closing an incident does not modify the alert configuration.
If the alert condition is still present (for example: repeated failures of a test on a specific robot), a new incident may be generated.
